The founder of Easy Jet, Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou has lost a case against a prestigious law firm that represented the travel king in his brand dispute with Easy Jet. Sir Stelios is said to be furious at having to pay Bird & Bird around £400,000 after the law firm took him to court claiming he had failed to settle a £2.3m legal bill in full.
Sir Stelios described the bill as “humongous” which included a £90,000 bill for photocopying. He then went on to describe B&B’s partner on the case, Jane Mutimear as the “photocopying queen” along with his annoyance at a vast number of hours billed by junior employees.
Sir Stelios is now faced with a further three cases against him from former employees who claim that they are owed money from the leading entrepreneur.
