It's great news that the planned strikes at Spanish airports now look unlikely to go ahead.
The threatened strikes over Government plans to privatise the Madrid and Barcelona airports were expected to affect air travel over the Easter period and the rest of the summer.
The Spanish airport authority and the workers' unions have now agreed a deal in principle although there are still some final details to be worked out. The agreement will also need to be put to a vote of the union's members and this is expected to take place in the next few days.
