Travel chaos in Tokyo

All flights to Tokyo have been cancelled, following the devastating earthquake which struck the north east coast of Japan at 3pm today. The earthquake measured 8.8 on the Richter scale creating a Tsunami as waves of up to 10 meters high swept through cities causing devastation throughout the coastal communities. 
Travellers are been advised not to travel and to check with their airlines and tour operators, all flights to and from Narita have been cancelled, bullet trains and the Tokyo Metro have been suspended whilst safety checks are been carried out.
