It seems that the holiday trends of the 80's might be making a comeback as the popularity of house swapping grows by the day.
As businesses such as The Guardian Newspaper (www.guardianhomeexchange.co.uk/) use the internet to make the process of arranging a house swap a very simple process, access to like minded holiday makers has become easier and easier.
The reason for the increase is not clear, but it is thought that the lack of disposable income caused by the recession and the ever growing inflation rate is a key factor combined with the fact that people are starting to realise that they can make a few pounds by renting out their house or even a room during major events such as the Royal Wedding and the 2012 Olympic Games.
But would you be happy to swap your house? Would you be worried about your possessions, damage to your property or visitors upsetting your neighbours? Or do you think that entering a home swap scheme is an excellent way of getting a great value holiday?
