EU Pushing European Airports to Introduce Liquid Screening Technology

The European Union has confirmed that the restrictions introduced in 2006 that limit the amount of liquids that can be carried in hand luggage to containers of 100ml or less, must be relaxed at all European airports by April 2013 at the latest.

The EU are pushing airport operators to introduce the technology for screening liquids carried in hand luggage and a number of the machines have recently been installed at some of the UK's major airports in preparation.

This is great news for passengers and should make travelling safer, simplify the boarding process and reduce queues dramatically.
