Stay In The Shades!

Medical experts recommend that it is vital to wear good quality sunglasses to protect the eyes from the dangers of ultra violet rays and blue light. This is particularly important for children whose eyes tend to allow more of the harmful rays through to the back of the eye.

Opticians advise that we wear sunglasses that are rated 'UV400' as they filter out 99-100% of the harmful UVA and UVB wavelengths up to 400nm.

Wrap-around designs that fit close to the face generally provide more protection than more open designs as they limit the amount of stray light reaching the eyes.
