Always wear a sunscreen with a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of at least 15 and four stars. Children and adults with sensitive skin should always wear sunscreens with an SPF of 25 or more.
Apply the sunscreen liberally and frequently and the first application should be made at least thirty minutes before you go out in the sun.
If you wish to swim then make sure that your sunscreen is either water repellent or preferably waterproof and re-apply liberally each time you come out of the water!
Always wear a hat and try to stay in the shade during the hottest times of the day (11.00 - 15.00). A good tip is to avoid going into direct sunlight when your shadow is shorter than you are!
