If you are travelling outside the UK remember that you may require vaccinations to protect you against some of the serious diseases that are found in other parts of the world. Always research which vaccinations are recommended for the areas you are planning to visit. The best way to to do this is to check with either the NHS 'Fit for Travel' website or the 'National Travel Health Network and Centre' (NaTHNaC) website.
Always make sure that you have any necessary vaccinations in plenty of time before you travel because some vaccines take a while to become effective. The vaccinations can normally be done at your local surgery.
