The bank holiday weekend will see around 1.9m Britons heading overseas to take advantage of the long weekend. Figures from ABTA have shown that Spain is the most popular destination with city breaks to places such as Dublin, Paris and Amsterdam proving particularly busy.
In the south, Heathrow will see 400,000 passengers through the airport whilst Gatwick will see 275,000 depart over the weekend. In the north, 140,000 passengers will fly from Manchester, 60,000 from Birmingham and 54,000 from Edinburgh.
The staff here at Alihoco would like to wish everyone an enjoyable long weekend.
