An investigation is under way after an aircraft flew over Preston's Deepdale Football Ground mocking the sides relegation. The investigation will determine if The CAA had granted permission for this to be done and
if the aircraft flew below 1,000ft over a built-up area. If the plane did fly below 1,000ft the pilot could face prosecution resulting in a fine or prison sentence. The Preston Manager Phil Brown had a more simplistic strategy, stating he wanted to shoot the plane down.
The two banners that were on display read 'Poor little Preston enjoy Lge1' while the second banner revealed the culprits, stating 'We are superior love Blackpool FC.'
