UK summer time could be the perfect time for people to visit the Caribbean. This is due to reduced room rates compared to peak season, better availability of flights, less crowded seats and plenty of authentic carnivals and music festivals.
One of the most popular options is Barbados with fantastic beaches, a vast array of accommodation options and Crop Over, the island's biggest festival. This years theme at Crop Over is The Sweetest Summer Festival which will feature 15,000 dancers and 25 bands. One of the best hotel options on island is The Tamarind with room rates as low as £160 per night for B&B.
For those looking for a slightly different Caribbean feel, Grenada may be just the place. There are a wide variety of carnivals from 4 June to 9 August and a suite at the popular Blue Horizon Hotel are around £100 per night at this time of year.
The island of Jamaica is also an attractive destination during summer time with some excellent rates at some of the most exclusive resorts. Prices for a standard room in February at the palacial Ritz Carlton is £210 per night compared o £120 in July and August with four nights for the price of three during this time. The hotel features a spa and golf course
